BORDER CRISIS

RECORDNUMBERS

  • In 2019, Obama’s former Secretary of Homeland Security Jeh Johnson said that if 4,000 people cross the southern border in a day, that’s a “crisis.” There have routinely been days under Joe Biden where over 10,000 illegals crossed the border in a day.

10,000 illegals per day

  • Customs and Border Protection says encounters at the Southern border surpassed 250,000 for the month of December, a quarter of a million known crossings in just a month.

More than 10 million people

have been reported illegally entering the United States

since President Joe Biden took office in January 2021

the greatest number in history

of any administration.

More than the individual populations of 41 states.

A wave of migrant crime has washed over our city,

– New York Police Commissioner , Edward Caban

Under President Joe Biden, immigration authorities have released up to hundreds of thousands of migrants into the United States without court dates.

One of the major operational impacts of the historic crisis has been the forced closure of interior security checkpoints that further aid the Border Patrol in intercepting illicit drugs that have been smuggled across the border. Agents have been pulled away from manning these checkpoints in order to process and release illegal aliens.

President Joe Biden’s decision to grant mass parole for millions of aliens, allowing them to remain illegally in the United States, only amplifies the devastating effects of increased illegal immigration on our society

In 2023 alone, Border Patrol agents have encountered thousands of illegal aliens with prior criminal convictions, including assault, rape, and murder.

This national crisis is impacting – and it has the potential to destabilize – the financial obligations that we have in our cities,

Hundreds of thousands of pounds of ultra-lethal fentanyl, heroin, meth, cocaine, and other illicit narcotics are pouring across our wide-open border and into American communities. Federal officials estimate that they only seize up to 10% of these drugs.

EMBOLDENING DRUG CARTELS
AND KILLING AMERICANS

Joe Biden has spent the last two years

dismantling the southern border.

Biden’s Open Borders policies are killing innocent Americans,

ravaging American communities, enriching the cartels, and

destabilizing large parts of Mexico and Latin America.

Since Joe Biden took office:

an estimated 250,000+ Americans have died from drug overdoses.

Enough fentanyl was seized at the border last year to kill every single American.

In 2021 alone, the cartels made an estimated $13 billion just from human trafficking and smuggling.

Biden stopped wall construction, gutted "Remain in Mexico", ripped up asylum cooperation agreements, imposed catch-and-release across the entire southern border, slandered and attacked border agents, announced the cancelation of Title 42, and effectively abolished interior enforcement.

Fueled in major part by Biden’s border disaster, the number of Americans killed due to fentanyl increased by 94% since 2019, and fentanyl poisoning has become the leading cause of death for Americans between the ages of 18 and 45.

BIDEN REVERSED
SUCCESSFUL TRUMP
IMMIGRATION POLICIES

During his first day in office, President Joe Biden swiftly moved to dismantle major parts of the Trump administration's immigration legacy by halting border wall construction, pausing most deportations from the interior of the U.S., rescinding travel and immigration restrictions on several Muslim-majority countries and safeguarding protections for so-called "Dreamers.

– CBS News

Biden stopped construction of the border wall on his first day in office.

Biden ended the "Remain in Mexico" asylum policy.

Biden reinstated catch and release. Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas said they are releasing “well more than a million” illegal immigrants a year.

The Biden administration is arresting significantly fewer criminal illegal immigrants than the Trump administration. Research from the Center for Immigration Studies shows there has been a “57 percent decrease in arrests of criminal aliens” under Biden compared to President Trump.

The Biden Administration told the Supreme Court to dismiss pending cases concerning sanctuary cities
